Is a recover cheaper than buying a new suite?
It is not necessarily a cheaper option to re-upholster your suite since there is a lot of work involved and there are plenty of cheap suites available in the major stores. However if you own a top brand model you may save a significant amount of money by recovering your existing suite. As long as your suite has been well constructed you may significantly improve it by opting for a full re-upholstery job.

What cover should I choose?
A good upholsterer should be able to advise you on the quality and care of the cover material you select. He may guide you to choose a product that is more suited to your particular needs and budget.

Will my suite feel as comfortable?
The perceived level of comfort is likely to change at first, but after a period of use your re-upholstered suite should settle down and eventually become the comfortable friend you have been happy with.

Can the suite be altered?
When you re-upholster you can change the look and to some degree the overall design. In some cases it may be possible to change the size of individual units, though this facility may not be offered by all upholsterers.

How long will it take?
On average a full re-upholstery job will take around 7-10 days from pick-up.

Your upholsterer will not be able to offer a normal retail guarantee for the cover but he should be able to assure you of a high standard of workmanship.
